I decided to grab the helm and do something about that.
Some of you may think that I just have energy all the time because of unicycling and being an adrenaline junkie. Nothing could be further from the truth! I got very drained and stressed all the time. God's been teaching me these last few years that I need to work on handling stress better. Some of you know about this struggle of mine. It's depressing, and I'm pushing through, and I'm learning. When I do eat healthy (carrot juice, whole foods, lots of organic fruits & vegetables, no sweets etc.) and exercise (I love running, soccer, unicycle, mountain-biking, triathlons, skiing, the list goes on...), I have felt my best and managed to have good days. When I am not able to keep that up, the days are BAD. I substitute-taught for only 1 quarter, and I don't think I could've held out any longer. I hadn't taught full-time since having kids 8 years ago! About 4 years ago, I started a blog called 30ofsomething. The goal was to try [almost] anything for 30 days to see if it was a habit that would make a difference in how I was responding to life's hard moments. I needed a solution very badly. Now I'm back, to try something new.
I’ve seen and experienced good health in lots of different ways. Through all of it I have learned so much about nutrition and taking care of my body. This is the first thing I've seen that has a simple but accountable way to live healthy and age healthy that I think we can keep up with. Gray has lost and kept off 30 lbs for over a year!

It is waaaay more than that though. He seemed like he had more energy than I did in the mornings, getting the kids up and ready for school. He started this nutrition system last year because he wanted to stick around and be healthy for our kids, and possibly their kids! We need him, and so I am glad he's continued down this path. Now I am on my own journey. I hope you enjoy!
